If you are interested in the projects MANT are running, please see below.
- Weston Woods
- Miss Porritt’s Field – This small field, in the centre of Menston, was left to the village by Miss Porritt. MANT has been entrusted with the management of the field, to enhance the biodiversity in the core of the village. We have planted a number of native trees with the help of Menston Primary School, grow and plant out wildflowers to improve the variety of plants, and look after some lovely Dexter cows each autumn, who help by eating the grass and allowing wildflowers to thrive.
- Wildlife Corridors – MANT are currently working with West Yorkshire Ecology Service to map the wildlife corridors in and around Menston. The aim is to identify where wildlife can access and where improvements to the corridors would make a difference. Watch this space.
There is plenty you can do to enhance nature in your own outdoor space or balcony. Click here to find out more.
