As a new organisation we need help in lots of ways, a few of which are mentioned below.
Running the Organisation:
If you have expertise in website design or are familiar with twitter and facebook pages, we have plenty for you to do. Or if you are a keen photographer and take good photos of wildlife or wildflowers, your skills are invaluable.
We also need help running events to raise awareness of our work and raise funds, particularly once we have put a bid to acquire any potential land.
Surveying
Part of our role is to record what wildlife and wildflowers are on a site and resurvey at a later date to see how numbers and varieties of flora and fauna are changing. Please let us know if you are interested in helping.
Growing & Planting
Where appropriate some trees will need to be planted. In addition, the best method of restoring meadows is to grow locally collected wildflower seeds and plant them out as plugs. If you have space to grow plants or can collect seed, let us know.
Legal Knowhow
We are also in need of people with legal knowledge, particularly with respect to buying land and management leases. If you are an expert in this field, please contact us!
